Shur Pac Driveway Resurfacing in Dorset, VT

We recently completed a steep Shur PAC driveway resurfacing job in Dorset, VT. The driveway's dramatic elevation change caused it to wash out after almost every rainfall.

For this project, we focused on widening a sharp turn on the steepest portion. We excavated trees and growth on the downhill side, graded the material for a smooth surface, and used a Harley rake attachment on our skid steer to re-grade the washed-out areas. Next, we brought in 80 tons of Shur PAC to resurface the turn and the areas above and below it. We also established a new center crown to ensure rainfall and snowmelt drain more efficiently, reducing future wear. Once the material was spread, we did a final grade and compacted the surface using a vibratory roller. Finally, we applied a chloride treatment to eliminate dust and further harden the driveway.
